Petitioning for party ballot access is already underway in the state of Arizona, and we need volunteers to help collect signatures. The state requires we collect over 31,000 valid signatures before November 28, 2019. This means we will actually need to collect upwards of 50,000 signatures.

Out of state petitioners MUST register prior to circulating.

There is only a little bit of time left, and we need your help NOW! Please follow the instructions below to print, circulate, and return your own petition packet. If every registered Green in Arizona collected just five signatures we would well exceed our goal. Our deadline quickly approaches, so please don’t hesitate. Get started petitioning today!

Instructions for Petitioning

Step one: Make sure you are registered to vote in the State of Arizona. You can check your status or register here. If you are a registered voter who is NOT a resident of Arizona, you must register as an out-of-state petitioner here.

Step two: Read and study the “Arizona Ballot Access Petitioning Guide”. This will familiarize you with circulation regulations, things to watch out for, and tips for petitioning. It will also include the actual petitioning documents for you to print out.

Step three: Print and prepare your petitioning documents. Instructions for how to put them together is included in the petitioning guide. Be sure they are printed front and back; with the petition document on one side, and the circulator sheet on the other. Each county must also be on it’s own sheet. So prepare multiple documents in the event your encounter voters from other counties. Fill out completely the circulator information on each sheet and sign.

Step four: Start collecting! Those who sign must be registered voters in the State of Arizona. Collect anywhere there are people. You can try campuses, light rail stations, libraries, concerts, etc. Please make sure people sign on the appropriate county sheet, and that they legibly fill in all required info.

Step five: Mail them to the Arizona Green Party on or before November 15th, or turn them in with a local coordinator. This will allow time for mailing, verification, and submission. You can mail them to:

Arizona Green Party
P.O. Box 60173
Phoenix, AZ 85082

To contact a local coordinator for drop-off, please reach out to the AZGP at

That’s it! Five simple steps to help the Green Party get on the ballot in Arizona. Time is short… get started today!
